Many conditions are self-limiting and get better on their own. It is
often useful to see how a condition develops instead of seeking
immediate medical attention.

Nurses and Doctors are happy to give advice over the phone if you have
any doubt whether an appointment is really necessary.
You may wish to consider keeping some simple remedies at home i.e.
soluble paracetamol tablets (adults and children over 16) which are good
for headaches, colds, sore throats and painful bruises and paracetamol
mixture (e.g. Calpol or Disprol) for relief of pain or fever in young
children.
Remember all medicines should be kept in a box or cupboard with a lock
and stored well out of the reach of children.
Flu Vaccinations
Flu vaccinations are available in October each year for all patients
over 65 years of age and those under 65 years who fall into categories
as recommended by the national guidelines.
